The H-1B RH grant program alleviates healthcare shortages by implementing strategies to train individuals in healthcare occupations that directly impact patient care in areas that serve rural populations. Now in the second half of a four-year grant, RH grantees are well positioned to provide advice on implementing a Department of Labor (DOL) healthcare grant. This webinar showcases a panel of RH grantees who will discuss their grant implementation, with a focus on aspects they wish they had known when beginning the project.
Nursing Expansion grantees who attend this webinar will come away with an understanding and awareness of:
- lessons that RH grantees learned while implementing projects of similar scope to the Nursing Expansion grant
- early implementation challenges and strategies adopted by RH grantees to address them
- promising approaches for outreach to and recruiting from under-represented and underserved populations, and
- developing operational policies and procedures designed to set grantees up for success.
