About

VetsinTech (ViT) supports current and returning veterans with re-integration services, and by connecting them to the national technology ecosystem.

ViT is committed to bringing together a tech-specific network, resources, and programs for veterans interested in education, entrepreneurship, and employment.

The program focuses on veterans that already have shown an interest and aptitude for working in the tech industry.  When veterans return from their service, they bring with them an amazing set of skills such as leadership, discipline and teamwork. By augmenting their existing skill set where needed with online and intense classroom programs, ViT matches Vets with new skills to positions where those skills are needed. Current education programs include cybersecurity, web development and Salesforce ADMIN training (customer relationship management software).

Many returning vets although very highly skilled, need some help translating their military skills to the private sector world. In other situations, some veterans will need industry specific and technical training.  Through various partnerships, ViT helps Vets with resumé writing and interview skills, connecting them with mentors to help them find direction in the tech world, providing job matching services and job fairs with local tech companies. Additionally, established relationships with corporate talent representatives and recruiters work VetsinTech to help veterans get hired. ViT also works with local companies to better understand what they need and continuously tune the program to accelerate the identification, training and matching of new Vets to new positions.

VetsinTech also offers an entrepreneurship program that helps more than 48% returning veterans who would prefer to start their own business but more specifically tech startups. This aspect of the program equips veteran entrepreneurs and their spouses with mentorship and resources to build high growth technology companies. Service activities include monthly immersive meetups, which take a practice-based concentration in the areas of product development, legal, growth, and investment strategies.
