The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans

About

The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) offers cutting edge, experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management to post-9/11 veterans.

The EBV program equips veterans with essential skills for launching and growing a small business, while helping them leverage programs and services tailored to their entrepreneurial goals. Designed specifically for veterans, the program includes training on government contracting, maximizing veterans’ benefits, and other specialized resources to support business development.

Founded in 2007 at Syracuse University, the EBV has expanded to a consortium of ten world-class universities across the nation: Cornell University, the University of Connecticut, Florida State University, Louisiana State University, University of Missouri, Purdue University, Saint Joseph’s University, Syracuse University, Texas A&M, and UCLA.

EBV is delivered through a three-phased approach, providing premier training and support:

  • PHASE I: is a 30-day instructor led, online course focused on business fundamentals and research.
  • PHASE II: is a nine-day residency at an EBV consortium school where students are exposed to accomplished entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship educators from across the U.S.
  • PHASE III:  involves 12 months of ongoing support focused on small business creation and growth.

Nearly 79% of EBV graduates have launched or expanded their businesses, with 83% still operating today, generating a combined annual revenue exceeding $194 million.
