This two-part series will introduce a framework, strategies, and resources for supporting participants from initial outreach to generate interest through supporting and tracking completion of programming and associated credential attainment, employment or advancement, and job retention.
Part 1 of this series, held in late March 2023, introduced a participant support continuum and previewed a planning tool and related resources, with a focus on identifying challenges and solutions related to the intake and enrollment, training/education program progress, and completion and certification phases of the participant lifecycle.
In Part 2, we will:
- Revisit the participant support continuum;
- Explore evidence-based best practices for supporting participant retention and completion in postsecondary training/education programs in a panel discussion with expert researchers ans practitioners;
- Leverage and deepen the conversation begun in Part 1 through facilitated peer-to-peer exchange in breakout discussions; and
- Introduce the finalized action planning tool that was previewed in Part 1 and share ideas about how grantees can use the tool with their teams and in their conversations with their technical assistance coaches.
